Todays skilled plasterers make the art of plastering look easy, however do not been fooled, applying to much or to little plaster to an area can result in a short life span. Incorrect application can lead to shrinkage and cracking, the same can be said for incorrectly prepared material. |

Methods and styles can vary, however the finish should always be clean and precise, sealed and edged. Most if not all Bulgarian house internal walls are made from a mud cement mix, which do not offer the life span required. On most occassions and mainly due to lack of skills, or for speed and cost, the walls are covered with plasterboard. Through experience we generally advise that this is not the best practice, as this has to be applied over the original covering and hides away any original problems, it also takes valuble space from any room and leaves an area for vermin to live, and for damp to penetrate. We remove this area and apply a cement base, we then apply a waterproof skim and finish with a plaster skim, this does not take away space and adds full strength, protection and maximum longevity.
